TRIALS:  Friday, May 18th @ Cowell Pool,  10:30 a.m.                         (3501 Cowell Road, Concord)  Directions/Map

Swimmers: The team will provide sandwiches, bagels, fruit, snacks and water.

  • Swimmer Arrival Time:  8:15 a.m.  (Swimmer finds own transportation)
  • Warm Ups Begin:  8:30 a.m.
  • Meet Start Time:  10:30 a.m.
Parents/Spectators: $9 adults, $6 students, children & seniors, $3 programs.                              Timers/Recorders:  Please be in your seats by 10:15 a.m.

Important Information:

  • The competitive North Coast Sectional meet is for the fastest qualifying swimmers in our section.  All swimmers achieving a NCS automatic time (limited to four swimmers /team/event) or faster will qualify for the event. If there are fewer than 40 swimmers per event who qualify by achieving the automatic time, the swimmers with the fastest times between the automatic and consideration time will qualify until they have a total of 40 entries (5 heats).
  • Entries for NCS will be posted on Monday, May 14th by 5:00pm on the NCS website.
  • Transportation:  There is NO team bus for this meet. Each swimmer is responsible for his/her own transportation.
  • Swimmer Entrance:  Each NCS swimmer will receive a ticket from Donnie allowing him/her to enter through the Participant’s entrance (not main gate).
  • Directions to Pool:  Take 24 East. Follow signs to 680 North/Concord. Exit TREAT BLVD and head east (towards Mt. Diablo) on Treat for approximately 4 miles. Turn left on Cowell Road. The pool is 1/2 mile down on your right.  (3501 Cowell Road, Concord)  
  • Parking:  Limited parking.  Please mind all parking signs on the streets surrounding the pool.  On Saturday only, parking will be available at the El Monte Elementary School behind the pool. A map to this school is available on the meet sheet at cifncs.org.
  • All Miramonte Swimmers:  Fun meet to watch … Come and cheer for your teammates!

*Swim Team Awards Banquet* on Thursday, May 31st

Dear Swimmers and Parents,

You are cordially invited to the 2012 Swim Team Awards Banquet on Thursday, May 31st at 6:00 p.m., Orinda Country Club.

This special evening will include a recognition of each swimmer, a farewell to our graduating seniors and a fun slide show of the season.  We look forward to seeing everyone!

Congratulations to the MATS…2012 DFAL CHAMPIONS !!!

Congratulations to our Varsity swimmers for a truly epic league season! The combined efforts of our DFAL Champ Womens team and our red ribbon Mens team resulted in Miramonte winning DFALs by 12.5 points over Campolindo. Every swimmer and every race mattered and made a difference.  Congratulations to the many swimmers who achieved new Miramonte Top Ten Times.  DFAL results and scores are posted.

Many thanks to the Paxtons and the Yees for sharing their beautiful homes and gardens. Their hospitality and the warm weather certainly made for a perfect DFAL meet experience.

DFAL Varsity Championships at Soda Center

Swimmers: The team will provide sandwiches, chips, fruit and water.  Bring extra snacks.     Parents/Spectators: $5 adults, $2 students, $2 program.                                                             Timers/Recorders:  Please be in your seats by 2:00 p.m.

  • Early Release:  11:45 am
  • Bus Departure Time:  12:00 noon
  • Meet Start Time:  2:15 pm

FINALS:   Saturday, May 12th @  Soda Center 12:00 noon

POST-DFAL DINNER:  Saturday, May 12th, 6:00pm @ the Yee Family’s Home.   This dinner is for swimmers, parents and coaches. No Siblings, please.  Parents: Please bring food by 6:00 pm   ***Note:  Party is OUTDOORS.   Bring coats and jackets.   Remember to RSVP.

Meet Information:   4 swimmers per team are allowed to make up the top 16 finalists. Consolation Finals will be held first followed by the Finals heat for each event. At the end of each Finals race, the swimmers stay in the water until each Finalist’s name is read (8th to 1st place) to receive their award. One relay team per school is allowed to compete in the Finals.

Congratulations JV MATS Swimmers … 2012 JV Champs!

Congratulations to our JV team and Coaches Trevor and Brad for bringing home a blue ribbon with solid performances at the JV Invitational.

Mats scored 1215 points to Campo’s 734.50. Our Women scored 626 to Campo’s 457.50 and our Men scored 589 to Acalanes’s 370.

Special thanks to Lynn and Phil Garrett, Mike Anjedani, and Teresa and Chris Coufal for all of their efforts with the JV Invitational meet and dinner!

The All-Team Beat Campo dinner, skit practice and “mask decorating” is this Thursday, April 26th immediately following practice in the cafeteria. The anticipated end time is 7:00pm. 

Thank you to Parents who are providing the yummy food for the dinner.  Please deliver food warmed and ready to serve to the cafeteria by 4:45pm.  Disposable containers & serving utensils are preferred.  (If not disposable,  please label any container that you would like back)
